Through pursuing culinary arts as a profession, what kind of people have you come across as a result of this career?

I am hoping to pursue culinary arts in the future and am curious.

Culinary arts and the people in it are the same as almost any other career. There are different walks of life that pursue the same goals in cooking. You will run into more creative and dedicated people i think in this field. The foods we use is the paint for us and we create taste, combinations, colors and environments. Lot of them are hard workers and willing to sacrifice a lot of time to do their job. I have to be honest also about ego's. Ego is a big part of being a chef a lot of the time and sometimes it gets mixed up for confidence and knowledge. Just be open minded when going to work with people, we're all different and the kitchen can be really tight space to work in. working as a team with whom ever is in the kitchen will make everything flow smoother .
