How would I find an emersion experience in France, while still being a student in my chosen college?

I'm a highschool senior looking to learn French when I'm a college freshman at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Have you thought about being an au pair? If you join a family with school-aged kids, you'll have plenty of time during the day for classes. Your French will get better, and you'll enjoy the cozy feeling of living with a family. I'm French and grew up in Paris with au pairs from different countries, mostly from Denmark.
