Ana’s Answer

Its recommended you get a bachelors and complete your states' teacher certification course. Ensure you gain real experience in the classroom before graduating. Your bachelors degree can be in early education or something similar if you want to teach in lower levels ( middle, elementary). If you want to teach a specific subject in high school then its recommended you get that specific degree. For example if you want to teach history in high school , its recommended you get a bachelors in history .

Anthony’s Answer

It is most definitely required that you have a bachelor's and complete the necessary certification requirements to become a licensed teacher in your given state. However, if you want to be open to lots of potential opportunities in the field of education, its definitely a plus to have a Masters. Having a bachelors however, you will still be able to teach granted you fulfill your teacher certification and meet the requirements for your specialized subject matter.
