Kaushal’s Answer

I understand you want to update your LinkedIn certifications. No matter your field, consider incorporating AI into your expertise. Many online courses can help with this, and Coursera is a great option because it lets you try courses before committing to a certification. Plus, it connects with LinkedIn. If you share more details about your field, I can suggest specific skills to focus on. Good luck!

Alexander’s Answer

There are a lot of free courses out there, but not all of them help your profile. The key is to choose courses that match your career path, not just random certifications.

Start with your goal (most important step)

Before taking any course, ask:

What job do I want?
What companies or roles am I targeting?

Then look up what skills and certifications are industry standard for that path.

This matters because random courses (like Six Sigma or IT) can attract the wrong opportunities if they don’t match your goals.

Mohsina Parveen’s Answer

Hi Abhin,

The key is to focus on relevant, well‑recognized courses that add genuine value to your LinkedIn profile, rather than accumulating random certifications. It would be helpful if you could share a bit more about the field or roles you are targeting, as that will allow for more tailored recommendations.

Based on my experience in the technology space, there are several credible platforms where you can learn at no cost. These include LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google, as well as training resources offered directly by large organizations. Some well‑regarded platforms where you can earn free certificates or digital badges are, Google (Digital Garage), Microsoft Learn, HubSpot Academy, IBM SkillsBuild, AWS Educate, Coursera (selected courses only, with free or sponsored certificates)

Tip: Choosing a small number of high‑quality certifications aligned with your career goals will be far more impactful than listing many unrelated ones.

Ilan’s Answer

Hi,

I am not sure you need a certificate to build a strong Linkedin profile.
There are three routes you can take:

1. Either you can look in Linkedin, they usually have courses, some of which are free. You might get some certificates or badges there, as most of their classes can be posted and you receive a certificate of completion at the end.

2. Youtube has a never ending number of videos, influencers, Linkedin professionals, recruiters, that can help you focus on the right things to put into your Linkedin profile, how to structure it, what to write, and what to remove.

3. Finally, just a quick research on Google should give you a few articles, blogs, maybe even posts with drafts and examples of what recruiters look for in a Linekdin profile.

At the end of the day there are probably another million different ways to do this, but these would be my go to.

Good luck!
