Alexander’s Answer

Usually I focus on the person’s strengths and check the posting about the program or admission to make sure I highlight the strengths that match what they may be looking for.
Every organization also has pages with their values and principles, you can use them as guidance and make sure it stays genuine, based on verifiable facts.

Hi there! When writing a recommendation letter, it is best to include 3 key things:
1) Specific examples of the individual's performance (what projects did they work on, how did they show impact, what was their work ethic like)
2) Assessment of key strengths (analytical ability, leadership, character, etc.)
3) Context vs peers (this is taking the strengths from step 2 and sharing how they compare vs. other peers in the same activity / classroom)

Hope that helps - thanks!
