For me, it was realizing the difference of staying the same in my comfort zone or taking the risk into the unknown. I don't necessarily think there was "motivation", but more like a desire, a passion, an obsession behind certain things in all aspects of life. We're really great at self sabotage, overthinking, and imagination (fear). Sometimes, if that unknown feels risky, you have to assess it. Is the risk going to set you back negatively? Can you mitigate the negative setbacks? If it's not going to set you back, take the risk. If it might set you back, weigh out the pros/cons and reassess. Does it then become a 90/10 for the pros/cons respectively? That's a really great percentage to be "for" taking the risk when the pros are at 90%.

When I was able to do this, things started to change. The more risks I took, the more clarity was provided on what to do next. Every action created a clarity point. Stack all of those points of clarity and you can start to see the patterns.
