Mitchell’s Answer

Colleges and universities really like seeing extracurricular activities on applications. They help with getting admitted and can also lead to scholarships for student life and leadership. When you choose your university, talk to your admissions counselor about scholarship chances. This is your chance to shine and show them you are a natural leader.

Maggie’s Answer

Hi Angeline Marie -

Yes! Extracurricular activities can definitely count for scholarships. I would start researching scholarships with your specific extracurriculars, such as "violin scholarship," "art scholarship," "theater scholarship," or "technology scholarship" for example. And for more general scholarships, it is great to show that you are involved in extracurriculars beyond your grades.

Best of luck!
