どうすればもっと早く英語を習得できますか?
How can I learn English faster?
I'm currently relying on spell-check and translation apps, but with school and other things going on, my English typing speed has become incredibly slow, which is making it difficult to keep up with my work. Do you have any good advice?

The best way to get better at typing is to practice more. The more you type, the better you'll become. You can also try online typing games to make practicing more enjoyable and less boring.

Hi Yura,
It's fantastic that you are eager to improve your English. Your determination will really pay off. Balancing school and other duties can be tough, so try to practice in ways that fit into your routine without slowing you down.
Here are some easy ways to learn faster:
1. Daily Practice: Write a few sentences every day about your thoughts or daily events. This will gradually improve your fluency.
2. Read Aloud: Practice reading short articles, stories, or social media posts out loud to boost your pronunciation and confidence.
3. Use English Daily: Switch your phone or apps to English to get used to seeing and typing it naturally.
4. Typing Practice: Use free typing websites or apps in English to speed up your writing and rely less on spell-check.
5. Listen and Repeat: Watch English shows, YouTube videos, or podcasts. Pause and repeat phrases to get the hang of the natural rhythm.
6. Chat with Friends: If possible, have short conversations in English with classmates or friends.
Focus on These Skills:
1. Build Vocabulary: Learn 5–10 new words each week and try using them in sentences.
2. Understand Grammar: Start with simple sentence structures. Clarity is more important than perfection.
3. Be Confident: Don’t worry about mistakes; they are a natural part of learning.
4. Think of English like a muscle — the more you use it in little ways, the stronger it becomes. By asking for advice, you are already showing great persistence, and that will help you improve quickly.
Wishing you steady progress and growing confidence in your English journey.

Try practicing English in small, consistent ways every day. Type short journal entries, messages, or summaries without using translation first, then check your mistakes afterward. Reading in English and using typing practice sites can also help you recognize common words faster. Focus on accuracy first, and your speed will improve naturally with practice.

Hi! For typing specifically, I’d recommend Keybr — it’s great for getting faster at typing in English.
For actually improving your English, I’d recommend practicing with English tests rather than just studying vocabulary. Preparing for tests like IELTS forces you to read and understand English quickly, which can also make your typing and overall English much faster. Engnovate has a lot of IELTS and English practice materials, so it’s a good place to start.

Try listening to English audio sources - videos on YouTube, Tik Toc, but slow the speed of the videos down and try typing out what you are hearing. This is called a transcript (a type-written record of something you hear). You could probably check what you type against a free software tool, maybe Google Gemini, ChatGPT.

Hi! It looks like you're located in Pennsylvania. If you can, try joining some local clubs or communities where you can verbally practice your English. Practice, practice, practice! The more you practice your English, the more comfortable you'll be. Do you have Discord? There are some channels and groups where you can join and meet new people to converse with as well. Hope this helps! <3
