Hi, Jose,

I was not sure what career I wanted until I went to college. I knew I liked biology. When I got to college I took psychology and loved it more. I also went to the career center to take interest tests and to research jobs and what they pay to figure things out.

I decided to be a counselor and got a master’s degree. In my first job I met with troubled youth and counseled them and their parents. There was also paperwork daily. Communication skills are very important in this field.

Keep asking about different careers
Use your school guidance office and career center at community college to learn more. Ask for guidance.
