How long does it take to get a job in your field after becoming a Certified Medical Assistant?

This will depend on the area you live in. My wife is a MA in South Florida and you can find a new job in a week if needed. In more rural areas it may take longer due to fewer Doctors with openings. Keep in mind the quick "job" is going to be entry level and the pay will be entry level. Finding the right practice to to have a fulfilling carrier as a medical assistant took my wife about 3 years of moving from practice to practice.

Large hospital systems are often looking for good certified medical assistants. It shouldn't take too long to find a job.
