If it is going through Higher Education can be 4 years to gain the knowledge as well as internships, volunteering and joining professional organizations can give more of a foundation to be in office administration. Let me know if you have any other questions?

Office Administration is such a "wide open" opportunity, that can really provide you with exposure to many professions and career paths. For me, Office Administration was the first door into my career in Commercial Real Estate. While there may be college programs for Office Administration, it is the kind of career that you can learn from entry level, and depending on what you choose to do, your job growth can expand exponentially.
I would recommend looking for trade magazines or articles for a few career fields you are really curious about, and read them with the intent of finding a professional that "speaks to you" about how they do business. Office Administration is about so much more than managing the day to day operations of an Office, it is about creating a great foundation for your office and team mates to create and grow from.
