what is the age i have to be to start working as a welder?

i am a 17 year old cool guy who hasn't graduated yet, i turn 18 in june, and i wanna go to Odessa for welding.

Welding is one of those careers where there's no maximum age to join the profession, but you must have a high school diploma or GED in order to start your training.

Besides your age, your skill is going to need to be on point. I personally know kids at 13-15 years old that can weld and if old enough would hold great positions. Always refine your skills, they will test you and have you work on something before starting the position.
