Christy’s Answer

Hi! Great question. There are so many factors but the best is finding out what you are passionate about and seeking out those opportunities. Colleges stress GPA, SAT/ACT, sports, leadership roles, etc. However, if you are someone that wants to start a small business while in high school that is community focused - that's great! Or maybe you love to write and have published articles on LinkedIn - which is free. Maybe you have a part time job and started a new club at school. There are lots of ways to stand out - but the most important thing is finding what you enjoy and are passionate about and pursue those things. It will be the same when you are in college. The more experience you have, the more doors will open for you.

Wishing you my absolute best in your college search. Be you! Stay positive! Enjoy the ride!
