What do I need to do to be certified to teach kindergarten?

Receiving a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education certifies an individual to teach Grades 1-6, and "with additional course work and an additional student teaching experience, be certified to teach kindergarten as well". What "additional courses" will I need to take? Does this just mean taking extra courses my senior year of college or an extra semester or year of college? #elementary-education
