What are some things to keep in mind while in college? Both financially and personally?
I want to know as much as possible before starting my freshman year.

If I could tell my younger self a few things before entering school it'd be this:
1) Have fun. Dont worry so much about the 4.0 and gain real life skills.
2) You most likely won't make 250k out of school, DONT TAKE LOANS OUT LIKE YOU WILL! Go to community school first to lesson your student loan impact.
3) Go to all the events on campus about career preparation. This includes internship workshops, resume building and networking.
4) NETWORKING IS KING! If you get yourself out there and talk to people, you will be in a much better spot than your peers.
5) Get a part-time job. This will teach you how to handle the pressures of life along with the pressures of school.
6) It deserves two, HAVE FUN! There will never ever be another time in your life that you will be able to live the way you do when you're in college.

Hi Ramon,
Looking back on college there are a few things I'm so glad I did and a few things I wish I had done/done more of. So, I have a few suggestions!
-Early on in your freshman year, focus on learning how best to manage your time, both personally and academically. Your social life is a big part of your college experience, and your academic performance an even bigger one. How you go about balancing these two things will have a huge impact on your time in college!
-Save up! Getting a job and/or paid internship and put the money you earn into a savings account
-Remember: College is only the beginning of your adult life. One thing I wish I knew: you're given 4 years to, essentially, figure out what it is you want to do with your life without having all of the responsibilities that come with being an adult - Take advantage!!
