How much does an entertainer travel?

If I were to be an entertainer, I would like to know how long I would be away from home from my family. #college

It would depend what type of entertainment you got in. I have friends who are musicians that tour 9+ months a year. But if you were an actor based in Los Angeles, your travel would likely be minimal. If you are a Broadway actor based in New York, your travel would be minimal. But if you were a standup comedian you would likely be touring for several months a year.
