I actually think everyone is creative, they just haven't tapped into their creativity. Depending on the age of the child, offer a problem for the child to solve. For each solution he/she offers, tell them to come up with another. Keep adding thought provoking suggestions until he/she reaches the most creative solution. Recognize them for the creativity. I think kids need to understand that with creativity there is no right or wrong. In the work place this is an asset.......I have always been taught that when everyone goes right, you go left. So for each idea, go left!
