Melissa’s Answer

A career in Speech language Pathology/ Speech therapy is a a good option if you like working with children and adults who are alternately-abled. As a therapist myself, I love working with kids and I get to teach them during their early years of development. This is not the traditional academic route to teaching, but it involves a lot of the same skills of creativity, patience, discipline, dedication and compassion. I hope this helps!

Tom’s Answer

A human resources specialist would be a somewhat similar role in that they help employees and managers deal with issues and organizational goals. A training and development specialist would also pair quite nicely with a teaching career. Plus, any career where you would provide advice to people, such as a stockbroker or a career counselor but also fit into this category. Best wishes.
