According to U.S. News and Reports 2016 Best Engineering School in the nation, M.I.T retains the #1 spot followed by Stanford University, then Berkley. I've a friend from Berkley that has a degree from there and he earns a little over 90K a year in his field. I must tell you, USC is a great school as is Harvey Mudd for Engineering degrees..

The best way to find your passion is to get involved in a company that offers internship work in your chosen field. I've worked for a company called Southland Industries which has a phenomenal internship program.
