What are some cool places you get to go as an environmental engineer?

I am in engineering classes right now and the field I am most interested in is environmental engineering. I interviewed an environmental engineer earlier this year, and his answers to the questions I asked were very interesting. I would like to know if the majority of environmental engineers get to go interesting places. #environmental-engineering

lets see, yes a cool place, am from Florida and was sent in February to look at a wastewater plant in Siberia Russia

Depends on what kind of company you work for. My first Env. job was with a company that had facilities in 40 states and 5 provinces and Mexico. I travled roughly every 2 months. The next two jobs were with steel mills, and my job-related travels were limited to Wash. DC and our state capital, to deal with regulatory issues.
