A day in a life for every role is different even for people in the same activity - let's say developers - their days could be completely different. It will be vary depending on the projects and activities that you are assigned to.
The great thing is that as you get more expertise, you can take more projects of the ones you enjoy or have a mix of different activities to keep your days very interactive by focusing on different skill sets depending on the tasks.

A day in a life for me is very different. There are days that I am presenting to customers or internal teams, other days that I am doing research, working on a technical demo, or coordinating teams to accomplish a goal, or some days I have to be creative and strategize on new ideas to either improve what we are doing or find new ways to accomplish a goal.

Typical is tough to define because every field is so different. Some work indoors or outdoors; in an energetic team environment or alone in a quiet data center. If you want to ensure you have an enjoyable work-life, it's best to consider what work environment might suit your personality. Perhaps the field you are interested in has a work environment you prefer. Hope this helps!

Hi Matthew,
I work for a technology company— specifically we are a cloud based communications platform that allows people to use APIs to build everything from messaging apps to alerts and notifications, chatbots and even video applications so that people connect.
A typical day at Twilio (where I work) includes joining several Zoom meetings and aligning with other teams to collaborate on very cool projects that include showing users, developers and companies how they can use our products to be more effective in communicating with their customers and even employees. Our meetings always include some idea sharing, collective brainstorming, ideating and innovating to improve on execution and finally getting things done! there is a great sense of accomplishment after collaborating because everyone has a plan of action and we all get along really well. So imagine just have exciting conversations where everyone is happy to participate and play along...that's what most of my workdays look like, and what I would call ideal days since there's always margin for laughs and sharing of things outside of work.

At the end of the day, I would call an enjoyable day— a day where I was able to contribute, be of service to others, use my imagination and push my creativity further all while having good, friendly conversations with my peers.
