Do you enjoy helping others?

Thank you comment icon Hello, I do enjoy helping others. I am currently a volunteer at a children's hospital and I genuinely enjoy helping all the families and kids there. These families are going through some hard times but at least I can help with taking care of the patient while their families go to get food or even taking the patient out to play in the hospitals game room. I absolutely enjoy helping others. It is true that there is more happiness in giving than receiving. Think about the variety of people that have helped you, whether it's your favorite teacher, your parents, or a mentor. Now think of ways you can help others in return. Perhaps helping an older neighbor or family member with groceries or yard work. These efforts will mold you into a better person and will allow you to create a team atmosphere now and in the future. Teamwork is vital to your success no matter which career path that you choose.

Yes. I think it's an important part of who I am that has helped my career choices and my personal happiness and growth. There are lots of careers that allow you to help others - in fact in almost every job you can find a way to be happy through helping others.

If you don't enjoy helping others - why not?
