Elizabeth’s Answer

Although this seems like a straightforward question what one dentist does may be quite different from one another does. Some dentist do mostly exams reading X-rays and fillings and crowns. Other dentist do more complicated procedures such as removing very difficult third molars doing root canals or other surgeries such as gum surgery. Some dentist will even clean teeth while other dentist have what is called a dental hygienist do the cleanings and then they come in to examine the teeth & look at the x-rays and inform the patient what is wrong and what procedures might be needed. It's a good question.
