Hi Jordan-
Nursing is a very exciting and rewarding career.
Nurses work various hours depending on the setting and population they serve.
Hospital nurses and rehabilitation nurses typically work 12 hour shift, either 7am-7pm or 7pm to 7am. Hospital nurses also typically work some weekends and holidays.
Clinic or office setting nurses typically work 8 hour shifts- starting at 8 or 9am. There also may be some evening hours requested.
Consider shadowing a nurse for a day so you get to see day to day activities. Also, volunteering is another way to view systems and the workplace.
Good luck with your career in the health profession.

Nursing can be a very valuable career. Some states pay more than others. In Ca, Nurses can make a very good living. Most nurses have to start out working late night shifts or weekends. Some have very long hours. It will get better as your career progresses and you will get better shifts.
