Yes, agencies often hire freelance workers, and many companies will hire on a "contract" basis. While these can pay well, they are sometimes not as secure, and you may go for periods with no work.

Yes you can freelance for different agencies. Doing any number of jobs they may need. You can also go out and hussle and market some small businesses who can pay you for their social media marketing. So many businesses are older people who are clueless yet know that's where their customers are.
