First off what do you consider fun and what do you think you like to do? For me I first started off with an AA in Business Administration, but I saw it would take an MBA to facilitate supporting my family of 5. I decided to enroll in Nursing as at the time I loved working with people and felt nursing would enable me to provide for my family. The nursing program I attended was impacted so they offered me slot in the Vocational Nursing Program. I completed this program and 2 weeks later was bridged into the Registered Nursing Program. Nursing provided me a stable income, enhanced my communication skills with patients and family, and job security. When I retired last year with 24 years as an RN I was making a great hourly wage, have a pension
plus a 401k. As far as fun I wouldn't say nursing is fun but is very rewarding when you see your sick patient leave the hospital. I also loved the socialization with my fellow colleagues.
