College degree or Vocational education in Agronomy or Crop Science and Crop Processing is what you need.

A Bachelor's (BA) degree is required of agronomists at the very least. Attending a land-grant university and earning a degree in agricultural sciences or food sciences is recommended. However, biology, chemistry, botany, and plant conservation are all related majors. Examination and lab work is fundamental.
