In today time farming is a very hard business to be in . It takes a larger amount of land to make a full time living. I work a public job and have a small farm that i enjoy having but I can’t make a full time living on it.

Start up farmers, new to agriculture can look to the Government for grants to get started, especially women and minorities. It is hard work, a lifestyle change and you are up against mother nature, the commodities market, mother nature and activists. The bottom line is most will not make money, no vacations but staycations and the lifestyle is rewarding for families. The extended family if possible is a huge benefit!
