Hi Tawana. Typically a certification is needed for most group class exercise. ACSM and AFAA are both widely known and accepted certifiers and a quick google search into "acsm group class certification " will be a great place to start looking at cost of both taking the test as well as test prep materials and if you want to take a formal course!


I myself have a degree in Kinesiology and highly recommend going this route as well as it steeply shows how committed you are to this field as well as differentiates yourself from other applicants while also providing your clients with a stronger sense of trust that you are well studied in the field!
