Should I continue to pursue music in college?

I’ve been playing the cello for approximately two years now and it’s been serving me as an outlet for when I become to stress. This has caused it to become a new, favorite hobby but I want to know if I should continue with his hobby or drop and focus on college. #musiclover

I think playing and having fun with cello during and after college is absolutely wonderful! Even if you pick a different major or career.

That's fantastic! Keep playing! Couldn't hurt to minor in it in college. You might even find you want to focus more on it. That being said it is extremely hard to make it in music performance alone but If you want to become a music teacher, work in the music business or work in the music instrument business this could be a great start. Even if you don't want to focus on cello in school never stop playing!

Keep it up. I regret letting my guitar skills drop off. There's no reason you need to drop all your hobbies just because you're going to college! College is all about time management.
