What sort of training and education would one need to become an Oceanographer?

Im a sophomore and was wondering what this job would entail and what kind of education I would need to get this job.

Highly recommend interning with an aquarium. You will need to be a certified scuba diver, likely will need a science degree like marine biology, and photography lessons. Understanding your photography equipment would be a good place to start if you haven't already.
