Are you allowed to have more than one career?

I'd like to have a lot of jobs when I'm older. I'd like to be an environmental activist, a teacher, an archaeologist, an author, and many more! How can I do all these if I can only go to college to prepare for getting one job?

Yes, you are allowed to have more than one career! In this day and age, people have several careers over their lifetime. Your professional interests and aspirations may change, you may move to a different city with a different industry focus, or your company may want you to fulfill a different role as global trends change. Just because you majored in a certain subject does not mean you have to work in that area the rest of your life. Many friends and colleagues I know are working in an area they never studied in college. Every job you have will give you skills and knowledge you can take to your next job. And you can always continue to learn new things.
