Are female cardiac surgeons in demand ?

I want to be a cardiac surgeon and since I know that more surgeons are men I was just wondering if female cardiac surgeons are highly in demand.

I think good cardiac surgeons are in demand, and the gender doesn't matter. There are probably more men in the field, but that shouldn't stop you. I'm not sure if it's a supply-and-demand issue based on male or female; I think employers and patients would prefer to have a qualified surgeon, no matter what kind.
