TOCHI’s Answer
I would say this, while my expertise lies in sales and marketing copy, I believe choosing a career should align with your passion and skills. If auto body repair excites you, focus on mastering the craft, staying updated with industry trends, and continuously improving, success follows those who commit to growth.

Hey Caleb!
Honestly, Choosing a career in auto body repair—or any mechanic-related field—usually comes down to passion, skills, and the kind of work you enjoy doing daily. I will just toss you some of the top reasons people choose this path🤔.
First is the Love for Cars & Hands-On Work! If you love taking things apart and putting them back together, working with tools, and seeing a wrecked car look brand new again, this field is a great fit. Some mechanics and repairers grew up fixing cars with family, while others just love the craft of restoration and repair.
Then is the Job Stability & Demand! Cars aren’t going anywhere! With more vehicles on the road, collision repair, customization, and general maintenance will always be needed. Plus, as technology advances (think electric vehicles and self-driving cars), skilled mechanics will be in even higher demand.
And there is Opportunities for Growth!
🔹 Specialization: You can focus on painting, bodywork, frame straightening, custom modifications, or even high-end exotic cars.
🔹 Certifications: ASE & I-CAR certifications boost your skills and income.
🔹 Business Ownership: Many auto body technicians start their own shops after gaining experience.
The Sense of Accomplishment, ofcourse!
There’s something satisfying about taking a damaged car and making it look and run like new. Seeing happy customers drive away in a car you restored is a great feeling.
Also it's a Good Pay & Career Progression!
While entry-level jobs might start lower, experienced auto body repairers and mechanics can make solid salaries, especially if they specialize or open their own shop.
Caleb, If cars excite you and you enjoy hands-on, detail-oriented work, this could be an awesome, fulfilling career for you! Hope this helps and Let me know if you need help figuring out anything, we are her for you mate! Good luck! 😉
