Hi Lacie,
That's a great question, and I don't have the right answer for this question. I think that you're the only person who can answer this.
If you're passionate about construction and love it so much that it doesn't feel like work at all, then I'd say you go for it.
Construction may be a field where there are more males than females, but why would you let that bog you down from your overall goal? If this is where you feel most happiness, then I'd say pave your path and break that gender barrier. :)
