How to find legit summer finance internships?

I'm currently a high school senior interested in finance. How do I find paid finance or business internships near me that aren't fraudulent. For next summer, how long before the summer should I start looking?

I would recommend looking into your local banks, tax preparation companies, and accounting firms to see what internships they have available. Retail banks offer internships in finance, HR, investment banking, etc. You could also look into part-time work as a bank teller. It is a great way to make decent money while gaining experience and making connections. Just experience as many different aspects of finance as you can and aim for an internship that helps with those specific goals. The more you learn what you like and don't like, the easier it is to find a job you love.
