The best part about being an Actor? There is no singular best part...it is a general satisfaction of enjoying your successes in an Artistic profession. No easy task. Money? The wealthy are actually Rare & Few. We know them all. Most of us are poor. We are fulfilled by making some kind of Art that speaks to our Passions & Interests & even Causes. Loving the Craft of Acting & being Challenged by the Discipline of achieving Mastery of the Craft. To dream of playing the Great Roles...& sometimes actually getting to play them. Expressing the great passions of The Human Condition - not just your own personal feelings. For to be an Actor is to be In Service to the Human Comminity.

I've now been in the profession of Acting for 30yrs now...& I clearly recall High School where I really began to see myself as an Actor. It was & still is an Overwhelming Passion that consumed me. My HS had a wonderful Theatre Program. My teacher there was an enormous source of inspiration & teaching...she is still a cherished friend. There were several others but she ignited & encouraged the fire- this is Key to remember: this pursuit like so many others requires the assistance of others; you will never achieve that goal Alone. It takes great courage, determination, luck, Talent, & Persistence to make the Dream of being an Actor a viable lifestyle & Reality.
