How can I find professionals who are currently doing the unusual job that I am wanting? #Spring25

I am about to graduate with my bachelor's degree. After a brief internship and a few more online graduate levels classes, I will be ready to practice as an RDN. However, I am wanting to specialize in women's health (specifically, pregnancy and lactation). How do I find someone else with this niche job mashup? #Spring25

Hi Lauren,

My suggestion would be to look into women’s hospital. If they have specific separations of a women’s hospital available in your area. There are also women’s care clinics that you can look into to see if they offer what you’re interested in. Hopefully this helps!

Hey, Lauren. Sounds like you have given much thought into this career choice! It's possible that dietitians in hospitals with an OB department would be helpful. Otherwise I would think perhaps a WIC program could provide guidance, and maybe some kind of volunteering activity. Or even an OB clinic where the staff would have good information and connections.
Best to you!
