Is there any advice for first gen students who do not have parental support?

I am from a country where a lot of girls do not get to go to school. I am a first gen student as well as going to be the first nurse in my family.

You are very wise and very brave to go after gaining an education! Try to make your teachers your mentors-- your support community. Reach out to them with your needs. Perhaps there are girls your age and older who can band together with you for support.
