Laura’s Answer

Great question, Kennidi. Regardless of your program, take some time this summer to learn about different study habits and organization methods and explore what works best for you. For example, you might be a visual learner like I am, so taking hand-written notes that you color code or creating flash cards might help you retain information. There are many books you can read to help you understand options, and then it's just a matter of practicing to see what works for you. Leaning into this was tremendously helpful for me in college. I only wish I had gotten the advice sooner. Best of luck to you!

Michelle’s Answer

I have some advice for you below :

Michelle recommends the following next steps:

Get to know your campus by taking an orientation tour.
Read books and websites and watch videos about Sonography.
Do some volunteer work - any type of volunteer work will be great and keep you busy.
Explore what courses to take your first semester for both general education and the Diagnostic Medical Sonogrpahy Program.
Relax and try not to overthink or over plan every minute detail about college. Let things fall into place step by step.
