How can I find a job in Digital Marketing?

I currently have my Associates Degree and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing. How can I find a job in Digital Marketing or a related field that will help me on my career path? Are there any entry level positions in Gainesville, Fl or internships that can help?

Explore job opportunities with advertising agencies in your area. If you're at UF, consider joining The Agency on campus. It's a great way to build valuable connections.

One of the best ways to get your foot in the door is to take freelancing gigs. They're a great way to build your portfolio and earn decent wages.

It's also good to document your professional journey on the right social media channels. LinkedIn is designed for professionals and allows users to post full-length articles, making it a great platform for documenting your career journey and showcasing your industry expertise. Instagram and TikTok are also great for personal and professional branding. Be mindful of how you use social media. It can unlock or block job opportunities.

I know many colleges and universities work with businesses to offer internships. I'd ask your teachers and/or guidance counselor how to find internship opportunities.

Other options:
* Search job boards on LinkedIn, Indeed, etc for entry level opportunities. I've definitely seen internships listed before.
* Network and share things you're learning and doing on LinkedIn.
* Join related Facebook or other online groups and network within them.

If you've got the time and resources, start a website and learn how to market your own blog or business through trial and error. This is how I got my start and when I felt ready, I found someone to mentor me in an agency setting (all it took was a simple post in a related FB group and someone kind enough to take a chance on me).
