Applications to medical school are very competitive. You'll need to maintain an excellent GPA during your undergraduate studies and achieve a great MCAT score. Additionally, medical schools expect 100s of hours of medical experience.
Having an EMT license and working in the field will give you not only a source of income during your undergraduate studies but demonstrate your dedication to the medical field and show that you know what a medical profession is all about.
