Skilled physical trades are job secure, AI proof and can be lucrative.
Pro:
-Own a painting business
-Little overhead
-Set your own price
-Control your fate
-Hire a team
-Referrals
-Opportunity to pair with interior designers, furniture stores, contractors, etc
Con:
-Physical job
-Paint fumes (wear PPE)
-Balance painting and lead generation
-Limit growth to hours and your ability to paint unless you expand with a team
-If you own the business you need to manage finances
-If you work for someone else you are enriching owner
-Insurance for you, workers, and clients
