Do y'all ever have anyone desiring to go into the funeral industry?
Hey, my name is Hampton. Many people call me Hamp for short. I am from Newberry, South Carolina, and am currently a senior at Erskine College in Due West, South Carolina majoring in Business Administration. I have always had the desire to work in the funeral industry along with my dad. Have y'all ever had anyone else that has also chosen this career path?

Hey Hamp, that's really awesome. The funeral industry is a path people don't often talk about, but it's such important work. Many students, especially those studying business, choose this route because funeral homes are both service-oriented and family-run. You're definitely not alone in this.
It makes a lot of sense with a Business Administration major. Working in a funeral home involves management, finances, operations, customer care, and planning. This background can really help, especially if you want to work with your dad or take over one day.
It's great that you've always wanted to do this. That usually means a lot. The funeral industry needs compassion, professionalism, and emotional strength, and people who feel drawn to it are very important. It's not a common path, but it's respected and needed.
