Zakari’s Answer
Hi Lana a typical work week for me. Looks like Monday through Friday. I work my primary job work and healthcare as administrator and after I get off, I typically meet up with my physical trainer. I also have a secondary job that I attend to my second job on the weekends.

My typical work week depends on the assignments in the clinical and didactic areas.
Most of the time is spent in clinical duties, supervision of anesthesia residents and nurse anesthetists while providing anesthesia care for patients undergoing various surgical treatments.
I start the day at 7 am in the hospital, we have already discussed the patient’s medical history the day prior to surgery. Discuss anesthesia plan and examine the patient in morning followed by start in operating room.
During surgery depending on duration and blood loss we plan the transfusion and at the end of surgery plan the proper disposition.
This is followed by the scheduled next case or any emergencies.
I enjoy working with my younger colleagues and discussing the importance of patient safety.
