How hard was it to become an Anesthesiologist?

I am 15, and planning on graduating high school a year early. I am in 10th grade right now, and planning on doing summer school and another semester in order to graduate a year early. My goal in life is to become an anesthesiologist, and I have some questions for people who have reached that goal. What helped you get to that point? How long did it take? What was your major, and minor/s? What tips do you have for me to help me get to that point. What was your weighted GPA for high school? Is it more difficult than you thought it would be, or is it easier than you thought, and if you could, would you pick a different career choice? That's it! Thanks:)

How do I balance GPA, extracurriculars, and clinical experience as a pre-med student #Spring26

I’m currently a high school senior planning to go to college on a pre-med track. I’m really interested in science, especially biology and anatomy, and I’ve done well in those classes. I’m trying to understand how to best prepare for medical school early on, including what I should focus on during my first year of college. I’m also curious about how to balance academics with gaining clinical experience and extracurriculars. I plan on attending a college that has a medical school/ hospital attached to its name, and is also right across campus

If you could go back and do college again knowing what you know now about the path to biomedical engineering, anesthesiology, or the healthcare field in general what would you have done differently or prioritize differently to build a strong foundation to better prepare you for the field What is something you would go back and change to better set you up for success before even going into the healthcare field?

Hi! I am trying to become and anesthesiologist or biomedical engineer I have a strong interest in the healthcare field. I am nervous about starting my career because I know the Pre-med track is very demanding, but I would just like some tips on how to be well prepared for everything that comes with Pre-med. I am also majoring in Biology and science isn't one of my stronger subjects so any tips on how to properly study would be very appreciated.

Was there any point were you wondered if you should change career paths or if what you were pursuing wasn't right or meant for you? And if so, what was it that reaffirmed that you were pursuing the right thing?

Is there anything in which you recommend to someone with many years of schooling ahead of them? I am someone who plans to go into anesthesiology. I know I will have many years of schooling to go through, and I want to make sure that I don't experience burnout.

What is the most ethically challenging decision you face when balancing adequate anesthesia with patient safety, especially in settings where resources are limited?

I recently went on a medical trip to Nigeria, and witnessed many procedures that could have more adequately supported the patient if there was better access to anesthetic care. As someone who is curious and passionate about a future in the medical field, aiming to work as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). My goal is to understand this question from a human perspective or from a personal experience. Rather than a general or textbook answer.
