Jorge’s Answer

Hey there,
Don't worry about that too much. When I started university, I had the same concerns and asked other students about it. Most of the time, they were off the mark. The subjects they said were the hardest turned out to be just fine, and I wasn't a genius or anything. Back in high school, I was nervous about studying Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, but a counselor once told me, "If you enjoy it, no career is too hard."

So, try to have fun learning. Every problem can be solved if you keep going.

Jorge recommends the following next steps:

Relax
Enjoy
Never give up.

William’s Answer

Hi Avery,
Like in many of the other professions, engineering is a rather involving field of study.
The truth is that people are good at different things, even within the field of engineering.
What is important is that we must make an effort to be our very best selves each day so we can excel in what we do.
One of the most important skills we need to develop is time management. How well we do this influences how much we achieve each day. In life, we need time to work, rest, travel, recreate, be with family, relatives and friends etc.
Usually, it's advisable for us to dedicate more time for areas of study where we have weakness. This, however, should not compromise our performance in areas where we are excelling. Striking an optimum balance only comes with time and experience. This optimum can be different for different people.
Approaching a mathematical field of study from first principles can be very helpful, especially in areas where we are struggling.
