Daina’s Answer

Hi! The Youth Hiring Act in Arkansas does not allow anyone under 14 to be employed. BUT... if you are interested in earning some money until you can apply anywhere, look to your neighbors and family. Try mowing lawns or weeding for people in your town. Ask your parents or guardians to check out their local Facebook groups for elderly neighbors who may need help removing large boxes or even those who may need someone to bring in packages for them. Plowing, cleaning pools, etc. Try these until you turn 14.

Hi there! I really admire your ambition. I know a 15-year-old who does all sorts of jobs like washing trash cans, pet sitting, mowing lawns, pressure washing, pulling weeds, and making jewelry. Just remember to spend your money wisely and save a little too!

Namrata’s Answer

Don't worry too much about making money early on. In the first years of your life, focus on learning new things, gaining skills, and enjoying experiences. Take time to relax, have fun, and just be in the moment.

Money will come eventually, and you'll be dealing with it your whole life, even if it's not your favorite thing. So for now, just enjoy life and play. Before you start earning, it's important to understand how money works. Learn what it can and can't buy, how to manage it, and how to make it last.

Start thinking about earning money when you turn 18. Until then, concentrate on your studies and having fun.
