1. Purchase blue chip stocks
2. Put my money in an endowment fund
3. Work overseas in the service industry
#1 and #2 allows you to build wealth for as little with potentially big returns when you eventually need the money. At 18 years old, you don't really need money for commitments and is when you actually have the largest percentage of cash you do not need to spend on necessities.
#3 exposes you to the world, where everything is different, perspectives, people, environment, how you think about yourself, your mindset and actions to solving problems, it also offers you the opportunity to meet people and build relationships with people who in the later part of your may be beneficial to you or you to them.
Once you get holder, you will get held down by commitment, family, job and basically life. Opportunities and barries to do the above 3 will only get harder.
