Hi, I am a Junior in high school and one thing I learned is to not worry what people think of you, be confident in yourself, be aware of who you surround yourself with, and focus on classes even if everyone else isn't. Teenagers are very opinionated and think that their opinions are very important (I am talking about opinions on yourself like how you dress or look or whether you talk a lot or too little) so not caring about what they think and having a strong sense of self confidence is useful. Many teenagers go through a phase of being boy crazy or are obsessed with dating and honestly don't worry about dating even if other people are doing it, a red flag in friends is when they constantly talk about boys or can't go a month without trying to date or if you start to get the feeling they prefer boys over your friendship, I've experienced that type of friendship myself and many teenagers are like that and I wish I had ditched that friend a long time ago. Classes and grades are very important especially depending on your future plans, even if people aren't paying attention, it can make you more confident and be very helpful in the future. My biggest regret in high school was some of the friends I had, their reputations do overlap with yours and so do their way of thinking even if you don't notice it in the moment.
